Guidelines for Facebook Group “Teachers of Eduqas Computer Science GCSEs and A-level”
This group is intended to be friendly, supportive and informative. The following guidelines are intended to keep things running smoothly and achieve these aims.
- We are all very busy. Please look through the FAQs first. We are also friendly and supportive, so an urgent one-off query will not be held against you…
- If you get a reply, please thank the person(s) concerned. You are more likely to get a prompt response next time…
- If you benefit from this group, please contribute too.
- Please be careful of criticism. If in doubt, message the individual, or the admin (Chris), and then we can post a (balanced) summary*. We are all under pressure at the moment as CS teachers, and we need to remain supportive of each other. This includes Andy Parker (Eduqas/WJEC subject officer) who holds a unique position in the group, and you will all agree, offers a great deal of help for us all. Please see Essential Facebook Etiquette: 10 Dos and Don’ts. Andy is always happy to be contacted in addition to this group by phone (details are on www.eduqas.co.uk), messenger or email. If in doubt, its probably worth contacting Andy first…
*I will usually correspond via messenger with members about controversial posts but I reserve the right to delete posts/comments quickly which cross such a line. If there is disagreement on this, I will ask the opinion of other members of the TSG and try my best to be fair.
